Candle sand or burning sand is a granular powder made from vegetable wax. Usage: Choose a pot that is heat resistant. Insert the wick and fill the jar with the burning sand. Trim the wick until it extends about a half inch above the sand. To add scent to the sand, simply mix your desired essential oils with the granulated wax before placing it in the candle jar.
